Come play in São Paulo
Beforehand there is a lot of speculation about players arriving at Tricolor, the invitation is “Come and play for São Paulo”.
What does the club offer?
At first, the names of many players are appearing in São Paulo, at least that's what journalists are reporting.
At first glance the names are quite pleasing, Ferreirinha, Soteldo, more recently Marinho and Dentinho, all are “almost” closing.
Part of the fans get excited by these headlines, share the links and nothing happens.
Apparently, big names will only come if that investor appears, which apparently has been very difficult.
The fan dreams of:
- Ferreirinha
- Soteldo
- Marine
Now he wakes up with Alisson signed from relegated Grêmio. Something that isn't very exciting.
At the same time that the club wants great players, it offers little:
- Salary below the club ceiling.
- Tumultuous politics at the club.
- Pressure for results.
- Risk of relegation in the last Brazilian Championship.
Can these proposals seduce big players? Does anyone really believe that Soteldo and company will reduce salaries next?
Currently the club's reality is this, without much ability to dream of expensive names, unfortunately for its fans.
There's no point in names exciting fans if the club doesn't have a winning project or money to offer.
What can bring a little hope?
After Rogério Ceni and Muricy remained for 2022, fans became a little more hopeful.
Not just because of the love they have already shown for the club.
But also, because they associated their stay with the fact that reinforcements arrived.
So, if they remained, they were convinced that São Paulo will have a stronger team than was seen in 2021.
Finally, the only hope is to believe that something will still happen until the cast is re-presented next year.
Finally thinking about reality doesn't bring much hope, as just “Come and play for São Paulo” isn't enough.
Today we need more than just “Come and play for São Paulo”, we need money and a project, something that São Paulo doesn’t have.
